C&K Industrial Services, Inc. is a provider of industrial and waste management services such as vacuuming and water blasting with offices in the mid-west.  We are looking for a highly driven individual to join the team in our Cleveland, Ohio location. The Operations Manager has primary responsibility for providing oversight, and coordination, of supervision, planning, administration, training and logistical support to one or more locations. This role requires superior organizational skills that help in driving continuous improvement surrounding operations, clients, and employees. This manager will build rapport with both internal/external clients and strive to maintain business commitments that allow fulfillment of defined service level agreements.

The Field Operations Manager will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing various work sites through Project Manager's assigned to ensure projects are performed to customer specifications.
  • Review daily project reports and follow up immediately with Project Managers to ensure issues are being resolved.
  • Supervise hiring, job assignment and professional development for all field personnel.
  • Work with Operations team/customers to provide daily/weekly work schedules
  • Update weekly payroll sheets for review
  • Work with Human Resources to address employee relations issues in a timely manner
  • Meet with clients and prospects to determine their environmental service needs and develop appropriate and cost-effective solutions that solve those needs
  • Provide feedback to team regarding performance, quality, and productivity issues.
  • Serve as conduit to the field - conduct regular meetings with field personnel and managers to share company information, updates, etc
  • Lead through example in all areas of safety and compliance; comprehend and administer a safety program that provides for a safe work environment and foster a culture that expects participation at all levels.
  • Make regularly scheduled visits to jobsites and perform thorough walkthroughs; conduct site safety audits, and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards
  • Participate in emergency response rotations

Candidates should possess the following for consideration:

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience with minimum of 3 years in transportation, industrial, construction and/or waste services.
  • Minimum three (3) years of diverse management experience.
  • Proficiency in using computer software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Outlook) to record, analyzes, report and share information.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations. Additional understanding of DOT regulations helpful.
